This annual conference is designed for administrators, educators, service providers, parents, families, and others responsible for the implementation of IDEA 2004 and the accompanying regulations. Each participant will receive a binder containing all of the conference materials.
 
Preconference Session 1 will focus on special education finance, including the allowable use of funds, tracking / recordkeeping for regular IDEA and ARRA funds, maintenance of effort, supplement not supplant, excess cost, proportionate share for private schools, CEIS-Use, tracking requirements, etc. It is tailored for special education directors, charter school directors, district administration, business managers, or other leadership individuals as designated by SEA administration.
 
Preconference Session 2 is the annual training for due process hearing officers, mediators and facilitators approved by USOE and MPRRC.

   Out-of-State Participants: $175.00 (including pre-session)
 
Pre-Session Only Fee
   $20.00 (Both Utah and out-of-state participants)
 
Note: Utah participants may be able to submit a request for reimbursement of the registration fee by contacting their LEA special education director.
 
Payment Procedures
 
Payment must be received by July 23 in order to participate in the conference. Payment may be submitted by personal check, agency check, or purchase order. Please include with payment the name and conference registration number of the registrant.

Registration Cancellations
 
Cancellations received before August 1 will be fully refunded. Cancellations received after that date will not be refunded. Any participant who registered and cannot attend may send a substitute if they wish to do so.

Parking is available at the Ogden Eccles Center and nearby downtown lots. Parking is at the expense of particpants. There will be no parking validations for this conference.
 
One USU continuing education credit is available for attendance at the conference. Registration must be completed and the $30.00 fee paid by check by the end of the first day to be eligible to receive credit. USOE credit will also be available. An assignment and evaluation are required at the completion of the conference in order to receive credit.
